If the GlobalCOM system is running a service pack 5 version or earlier, and the DNA frames installed are rev A.01 (firmware version 2.11), then you will have to manually update the DNA resources file to allow communications to the DNA devices.  (The DNA revision is listed in the upper right corner of the IED label.)

To accomplish this do the following:

1. Download the IED_DNA7800.xml file attached to this document.
2. Copy the file to the following locations: C:\IED\Services\SystemSupervision\Resources\ C:\IED\Services\vACS\Resources\ C:\IED\Services\vACSDiscoveryService\Resources\
3. Reboot the GlobalCOM box or use Service Control Manager to restart the following services: IED System Supervision Service, IED vACS Discovery Service, and IED Virtual ACS.

NOTE: After this update, four errors setting delays will be seen when applying configuration to the rev A.01 DNA frames. These delays were removed from the DNA frame in the A.01 revision.
